Katy Perry
Katy Perry (born October 25, 1984 as Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson) is a singer, songwriter and actress United States. Born and raised in Santa Barbara, California by Christian pastor parents. Since childhood, Perry just listening to gospel music and often sang at local churches, she released the album the same spirit as its name in 2001 as Katy Hudson, but less successful, she later recorded an album with production team The Matrix and complete most of the 2004-05 solo albums, both of which none was released.
After signing a contract with Capitol Music Group in 2007, she adopted the stage name Katy Perry and Perry in November of his first singles released on the internet, "Ur So Gay" is enough to get public attention but failed to enter the charts. Katy became famous with the release of second single, "I Kissed a Girl" in 2008, which topped the charts internationally. In the same year, Perry's first album One of the Boys became the 33rd best selling album worldwide in 2008. Perry get Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America, while "I Kissed a Girl" and the second single, "Hot n Cold" received multi-platinum certification. In its second year, the album Teenage Dream was released in August 2010 and debuted at number one the Billboard 200. This album include the hit single "California Gurls", "Teenage Dream", "Fireworks", "ET" and "Last Friday Night (TGIF)", all of which has topped the charts in Billboard Hot 100.. With "E.T." perched at number one on the charts May 12, 2011, Perry became the first artist in history to spend a whole year, for 52 consecutive weeks in the top 10 Billboard Hot 100.
Perry had the opportunity to be guest judges at the seventh series of the British television show, The X Factor and released a perfume called "Purr" and also as the voice of Smurfette in the film in 2011, The Smurfs. Perry has a long relationship with Travie McCoy, but in the end he was married to Russell Brand on October 23, 2010.
